Welcome to a another Book Hooks, the weekly meme hosted by the MFRW Authors Blog.

Readers, here's your chance each week to get hooked on a new book! Authors share a short excerpt from their books. If you enjoy the sample, consider purchasing the full book through their buy link.

THIS MONTH I'm sharing Touch My Heart, book two in the Heart And Soul series.

*I'll also be TAKING OVER the INDIEpendent Book Babes facebook page tonight (Feb 12, 8pm EST) and giving away copies of the books in this series. Stop in for a chance to WIN!*

Now, here's my hook...

With Aubrey in my sights, all other thoughts disappeared. She was my focus. Damn, it felt good. Aubrey had a subtle beauty that made me want to reach out and touch her. I was drawn to her and knew, without a doubt, I wouldn’t accept a refusal to my proposal. She had to be mine.

I itched to stroke her creamy skin. She tilted her head and used her long auburn tresses to hide cheeks dotted by freckles, freckles that made me wonder if there were others yet unseen. I would trace them with my tongue someday down her curvy body and connect every dot I found. Oh, what I would find beneath her clothing, beneath the things she used to hide herself. Even in her eyes, she hid past hurts. I would find out who had hurt her and I would heal her. I would slay her dragons if she gave me the chance.

William knows exactly what he wants. He saw what his parents had and he plans to have that kind of love for himself. He just has to convince Aubrey she’s perfect for him. He attempts to take it slowly, cautious of her weariness and his own preoccupations. Then he bargains, persuades and seduces until Aubrey agrees to be his. That’s where the rest of his life begins…

… even while another part of his life begins to crumble. He finds the foundation of his own family rocked. With William’s future not in his control anymore, he needs Aubrey as much as she needs him. There’s solace in knowing you don’t have to go through life’s heartache alone.
