Paloma's Monthly Reads @Raine_Miller @TheGingerScott @Skyla_Madi @JoannaWylde

I might need to go to confession to admit I'm addicted to the Bad Boy Heroes - you know the ones... the Tougher-Than-Nails Manly Men - because this month's reads have been leading me in that direction!

I started with Raine Miller's RARE & PRECIOUS THINGS, the final book in the Blackstone Affair which I've been reading since book one was released and she'd not yet rocked the world as a famous author. I'm so glad she's become so well-known because her writing is such that she captures readers in her stories. You are missing something beautiful if you don't read her series.

The fourth part in the New York Times bestselling series, The Blackstone Affair: A bright beginning for two damaged souls fighting for their hard-won love, and the promise of a new hope to secure their happily ever after. Rare and Precious Things is the story of two people who both need the other in order to be complete, but learn just how "rare" their brand of love is when they have to risk everything in order to hold onto it.

Then I picked up BLINDNESS by Ginger Scott after some reviewer friends recommended it. I can almost never go wrong when the girls at Guilty Indulgence Reviews turn me onto a book and this was no exception. Back into the New Adult genre which I've come to love, the author gives readers a story of a
typical young woman dealing with loss. She's lost so much in life, most recently her father but her most difficult loss is of herself. Blindness is the story of her being found again. And it only helps that the hero is a mighty fine specimen of hunky maleness.

It takes a while to know who you really are. And when you lose your way, sometimes it’s hard to find it again.

Charlie Hudson was on the verge of figuring that out when her dad—the only parent and friend she ever had—died suddenly. She was barely 18, and she was alone. So she went for easy—playing life safe, running away from a home that harbored nothing but bad memories and challenges and loving a man who would take her away from it all forever.

It’s funny how chance takes over when you need it most. And that’s exactly what brought Cody Carmichael into her life. A former motocross super star, Cody was now happy to be living the blue collar life, spending his days finishing up school and his nights under the hood of some classic car, just trying to keep everything his father taught him alive. Cody and Charlie were living parallel lives, until they finally collided. And the moment he smiled at her, Charlie knew he was the one who would change everything. But was she willing to take the risk?

Speaking of New Adult, I also listened to TOO CONSUMED, book two of the Consumed series by Skyla Madi, on audiobook. Another bad boy - this time a MMA fighter - who has the sex drive of all sex drives! The story was just as good as the first and left me eager for the third book in the series.

Olivia did the impossible. She tamed the over-confident Casanova, Seth Marc, turning him into a one woman Romeo. With Seth's first professional fight coming up, she does her best to keep him focused and driven... even if that means withholding sex from him. As sexual tensions rise, so do past discrepancies the couple thought buried, putting extra stress on both their romantic and professional lives. Stuck in the center of the action, Olivia and Seth fight for air as they collide face first with the tough world of professional MMA.

Then I indulged in Joanna Wylde's REAPER'S MC books on audiobook. I've listened to the first two books so far. These books are so sexy hot, I'll definitely need to pace myself! The Reaper's MC is a group of men who I'm sure will inspire a delicious series to come. They are terribly romantic in their own bad ass way. If you enjoy MC romances with all their grit and heat, you absolutely don't want to miss this.

Book One is REAPER'S PROPERTY. You should definitely read them in order.
Marie doesn’t need a complication like Horse. The massive, tattooed, badass biker who shows up at her brother’s house one afternoon doesn’t agree. He wants Marie on his bike and in his bed. Now.

But Marie just left her abusive jerk of an ex-husband and she’s not looking for a new man. Especially one like Horse—she doesn’t know his real name or where he lives, she’s ninety percent certain he’s a criminal and that the “business” he talks with her brother isn’t website design. She needs him out of her life, which would be a snap if he’d just stop giving her mind-blowing orgasms.

Horse is part of the Reapers Motorcycle Club, and when he wants something, he takes it. What he wants is Marie, but she’s not interested in becoming “property of”. Then her brother steals from the club. Marie can save him by giving Horse what he wants—at home, in public, on his bike… If she’s a very, very good girl, she’ll get lots more of those orgasms only he can offer, and he’ll let her brother live. Maybe.
